Pain Poem by Trailakya Roy

Pain

Rating: 5.0

'No pain, no gain'is just a farce,
I saw people in pain losing all they had...
I, a silent onlooker only stood and watched,
This makes me more and more sad.

Such pains, harbinger of Hell-fire gain nothing,
Make them pale, cut the rhythms of life
Yet death restrains to approach,
But takes away the desires of senses, five.

No mythical herb is there
In any hill or vale
No music, love or modern meds
To wipe out this pale

Pains like worms spread through the bones and veins
Eat the essence of body and soul
Like a king reigns.

How could He be so silent?
Giving pains to the mass,
Living with incurable fate
Rolling in pain as Sisyphus.
