One Summer Morning Poem by Amar Agarwala

One Summer Morning

Rating: 5.0

A sepal, petal and a thorn
Upon a sprightly summer morn,
Dew lacing blooms, and honey bees
Soft lilting breeze rustling the trees,
Worshiped by an orchid forlorn.

A nightingale's song from its nest
Upon some prickly bush's crest,
Melody soothing some pained soul
Cavorting in a divine role,
That all be happy and be blest.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
COME SUMMER'S

Some summer morning's can be beautiful as they may be soothing. Bright blue skies, bird-song, lilting breeze and blooms unfurling under a yellow sun. It beckons wry mortals to lift their spirits and be happy... mother nature at her bounteous best. These are little blessings, but we find little time and inclination to care about it.
