Old Yearbook Poem by Joseph T. Renaldi

Old Yearbook

Rating: 5.0

There is a bit of nostalgia remembering
The school days that used to be,
As I turn my old yearbook pages slowly
Attempting to live again in fond memory.

I see the youthful faces of former classmates
In the old yearbook resting on my knee,
Reading the will and testament of friends
That were so dear and close me.

I stare at the pictures of the classmates
Wondering how they coped in different ways,
Then my mind just sort of aimlessly wanders
Toward the pleasantries of former school days.

There was a heap of personal satisfaction
When the arousal of school activities began to blaze.
Browsing through the pages of the old yearbook
Drew me closer to those other memorable days.
