Of Love
Faces change and rearrange,
Seems nothing stays the same
Yet, love endures forevermore
And could never face such shame
Friends will bend under the wind,
And mothers have walked away
Yet, love will bring them back again
Perhaps this time, to stay
For I have seen the face of love,
Throughout my darkest days and nights
A spark has set my soul on fire,
Under the spell of your baby blue eyes

Beautiful and realistic composition about love, people come and go but the ocean of love remain unchangeable

The first two stanzas are great with intra-line and end rhymes and wonderful rhythm. The last stanza lacks those qualities, in my opinion.
The first two stanzas are generalizations, vague and abstract. Impersonal pronouncements. The final stanza at least has the feeling of moving towards something concrete and meaningful.
Yes, I have no argument with the content but rather with the structure.
Thank you Adrian, I agree with you...the last stanza seems not to fit the way I would like..as is true of all my poems, after I write them..I always want to make changes but all in all..I’m ok with it
