O Lord! Be Kind! Have Mercy! Poem by Rajnish Manga

O Lord! Be Kind! Have Mercy!

Rating: 5.0

O Lord! Be kind! Have mercy!
May be the rain's & flood's fury
Has hit us as a misdirected volley

They call it ‘God's Own Country'
Because of your special blessings
Upon this land and its people
Which abounds in nature's
Pristine glory since time's birth

You are the saviour. Please save us
We have remained in your heart
Our friends wait for your help, O Lord!
You can't desert during hell's deluge
Of this beautiful land and its people

O Lord! Be kind! Have mercy!

Each one of us tries to interpret things according to his or her faith or conviction and when the situation goes out of control, we hope and pray for some divine intervention. May be we tend to forget as soon as the situation is normal. Thanks, Dear Friend, for sharing your personal experience.

I missed this beautiful and touching prayer you have sent to God for Keralites, when our people were passing through the most trying times. Yes, the people of all states and even nations rallied round with prayers and monetary and other physical help us. Thanks for this sincere prayer! (10)

It was a rare occasion when the entire nation felt the pain of the disaster which struck our brothers and sisters of Kerala. Everybody was anxious to know. TV and Newspapers kept us updated, govt agencies and locals did a tremendous job to mitigate the impact. Thanks for your kind words, Valsa ji.

Those floods were news all over the world. I only hope that many people were saved during this calamity. It is a mystery that God would allow the floods, but He can help rescuers save people from drowning.

Yes, you have rightly assessed the situation. Despite the losses, people's faith in God and in themselves has remained unshaken. I agree that mysterious are the ways of God. Thank you, Michael.

Though, the state of Kerala has suffered a massive loss, but life is slowly getting back on the rail. The moral and material support held out by the world doubled the people's resolve. Thanks a lot.

Each one of us has felt the ordeal of our brothers and sisters in Kerala. Thanks God, it is over now but it will not be easy for them to regain their poise right away. Thanks for your kind words, Anil ji.
