Not To Say It To Say It Said Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Not To Say It To Say It Said

Not to say it to say it said,
Would still make no difference...
To anyone misunderstanding,
A repeating to believe heard...
What was misunderstood.

And...
Done to start an argument over,
Something someone else did not hear.

Yet...
Will claim was told about,
By reliable sources.
Known to deny the telling of lies!
To then not name them to protect,
The credibility of their integrity.
With it wished this lie told is believed.

Not a day goes by,
Without someone's mind...
Being tested for any sign,
Of remaining to stay conscious.

Testers these days seem to be everywhere.
Prepared to take an unused mind away.
With a doing it quicker,
Than a professionally trained...
Fast talking politician.
Or a retired thief.
Who at one time,
Had ambitions to be a lawyer.
