New Year's Call
Ring bells high to the mighty sky
The Old Year is going out this night.
Ring out it's time for him to die.
Ring in The New One comes to light.
Ring bells so that hears us the God.
Ring in for love and peace on earth.
For better life we could afford,
For tables full with food and mirth.
Ring in for good and happy New Year,
For hope that for all us unfurled.
Ring in that people dance and cheer
And never darkened our world.

Excellent choice to keep yourself fit to humanity. Lines are curved equally with brilliant parameter of variety of thoughts. Such as last two lines.... Ring in that people dance and cheer / And never darkens our world. ++++ Pranab k chakraborty

Galina, below, wrote: Is ducken a German word? why did she ask? was it in the poem when she read it? i found several places where i would word things a bit differently, especially here: Ring bells so that hears us the God. ....but i understood, well, your poem. (usually i'd type I understood your poem well ;) i wonder if the old Communists, referred to as traitors (i believe) in your Communist Party-card poem, would have approved of your writing mentioning God. hmm? bri ;)
It was my misspelling and Galina was right. The word is darken. Please do not hesitate in correcting faults in my writing including rhymes, etc. Not all of the old Communists are traitors. Only those who declared themselves democrats and are still communists by nature. So to say false democrats, who took the power, destroyed the country and robed the people. Promising good life under the capitalism.
