Neverland Poem by Sandra Black

Neverland

There is laughter through my tears
A smile bringing good cheers
A moment with you
Keeps me floating all day

I smile in my sleep
I am fully awake
I am lost in a dream
This feeling cannot be fake

I fear to be awakened
I fear losing you
I should just treasure
The moments instead

A breath of sunshine
That's what you are
A cool breeze
That fills my heart

A soothing balm
For my frail bones
A thought of heaven
Packaged in a jar

I soar the skies
And touch the stars
With you near
There is no bar

Flying away into Neverland
With you my very own
Green Peter Pan
Holding my little hand
