My Faith Poem by Rita Shay

My Faith

It’s hard to pray to a God I’ve never met.
I have trouble listenting to priests talk themselves in circles,
While sitting in clothes I don’t like to wear.
I don’t know where my bible is
And I don’t particularily care.
I don’t want to hear about some miracle,
Some impressive thing to prove my “faith.”
But then the wind stirs the trees.
And I believe.
