I have an addiction
Existing without my permission
Endangering me to constant depression
Leading me to utmost destruction
A little inhalation
Or better still, a dose of an injection
A few minutes of fornication
Is all I need to tame my obsession
I am caged by this addiction
Enslaved by my urge for satisfaction
Detained by my thirst for a mere sensation
All, stimulated by a little temptation
My addiction
My distraction
My restriction
A life full of confusion
But to every addiction, there's a solution
A solution based on a decision
A decision begotten by a conviction
A conviction to accept redemption
An addiction
Shall not be a deprivation
Because I have the God of every creation
And He is my new ADDICTION
Drop that addiction
Dread evil communication
Desire restoration
Find Christ and crave for a better habituation

A beautiful work of art elegantly brought forth in verse with rhythmic splendour. An insightful rendition, well conceived and nicely penned in persuasive poetic expressions with artistic brilliance. Thanks for sharing, David. Please have a look at my poem: The Abyss Of Drug Addiction.
