Melted Poem by Aminath Neena

Melted

This morning
as I watched
the sweet edges
of smiling dawn
tiptoe into my room
as bright wedges
of sun kissed tangerine
blushing into shades
of blooming gardenias
dipped in lemon green
In the mystic glow
with their warmth on me-
to fall on my sleepy cheeks
my heart craved
for you to touch me
right at that moment
with such intensity
that had you been really there
I would have melted
in your arms, in ecstasy
