Welcome to Goa
for a political holiday;
tell us of your prowess and prey
tell us of your powers and ways
tell us of all what you can do to win our hearts
but above all tell us of your own gains over the pains;
let there be truth and truth alone
let there be justice and hope for brotherhood
let there be dawn and dusk
let there be sunrise and sunset
but above all let there be greatness of unity and strength
let there be elevation of purity and prosperity
let there be annihilation of poverty and corruption
let there be you and me as supporters of equality;
tell us of those years of pursuance you have travelled
tell us of those speeches of persuasion you have made
tell us of what changes you have made in your goals
tell us what difference you will make to our existence;
but make it a memory so valuable to humanity
that Goa will long remember there was a mightiness
which no wind or storm could shake
or let that leader be me someday
as Goa is my motherland
and my duty is it's behest.
