Make Time For Family Poem by Renee Alexandria Ho

Make Time For Family

My father comes home late at night
Darkness all around him, blinding his sight.
The sound of heavy feet climbing the stairs,
Down the hallway we shoot our glares.
Mother rushes to his side
Nearly did we collide.
As I watch mother drag him along,
I feel their bond must grow strong.
Yet I have the feeling that they argue behind my back.
It’s a horrible feeling everyone should lack
My father comes home late at night
Darkness surrounds him, blinding his sight.
The sound of heavy feet climbing the stairs,
Down the hallway we shoot our stares.
I learnt something that very night,
That even though we push and fight,
We cant help what we feel inside
That reminds us that we’re full of might.
