Madness And Despair Poem by Gretchen Cruz

Madness And Despair

MADNESS AND DESPAIR

I'm seeing shapes in the ceiling
There're all screaming
Screaming, screaming

Can't help but feeling
As if I'm still dreaming
Still dreaming, still dreaming

Tears still running down my face
'Get out, get out!
You worthless disgrace!

So quiet, so quiet, I think I'm going mad
So bad, so bad!
This world isn't going to save me
When I'm dead

Yell at me, please do
After all, you're better than me
Why shouldn't you?

Oh disgrace, disgrace, how filthy the sound
Trapping me in a world full of pain
Cackling in glee as my will slowly fades

It's in my head, you see?
This hell is unbearable
Want to join me?

Enjoying yourself a lot, aren't you?
My screams of pain astound and please you

I really should die, don't you think?
The clock is ticking
What's going to happen to me?
I'm sinking, I'm sinking!
Down, down, down!
Yes, that's it! You can't do anything else
Then fly above the clouds
Since hell won't keep worthless pests.

I won't be missed, I'm sure of it
Just put it around my neck
I'll be safe! Pinky promise!
Hang there, don't struggle
Don't cry for those stupid muggles!

I'm mad, I'm mad! Just listen to me!
This world is much too tough
Can't you see?

Look at me with your eyes
Seeing nothing but a careful disguise
Everywhere, everywhere! Still blind
All of you need to be more of mind

I'm fading....fading
My end is near
A question that's been on my mind
Aren't you going to tell me?
'What I did wrong? '
