Lost Passion Poem by Mark Otieno

Lost Passion

Rating: 5.0

I've lost the drive to write
Am now like a child lost in the night
Confused and scared
Frozen in mind
I want my passion back
I lost it when my life was dark
If i could find few rhymes
I could write a simple poem
Just one word at a time

A beautiful exposition concerning writer's block or more simple the I-can't-write-past-this-really great-line-I-just-wrote...... Very good, Mark. I've lost the drive to write Am now like a child lost in the night Confused and scared Frozen in mind I want my passion back- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -those lines are terrific to me, you have a pair of rhymes to begin with that just slid me into your poem's world; the other lines don't need to rhyme because they so obviously come straight from your heart, expressing a condition we have all felt and appreciate having described so lucidly. I love this poem exactly as you have written it.......straight from your heart. 10+++++++++++++++++++ and a place on my fav list
