I want to live by the day,
I want to wake up with honesty in my heart;

I want to drink water from the fresh fountains and wells
I want to eat everything that is natural from the fields;

I want to sleep by the sea with sunshine over my head
I want the waves to tell me a story;

I want the moon to sing me a song
I want the stars to shine up my dreams;

I want to be that huge tree
standing there silently amidst the storms and the winds.

Yes, I want to live by the day
and not let enemies and rivals take away my freedom;

I want my feet to run every mile my legs discern
I want my hands to write every word I think;

I want my eyes to see all that is within my vision
I want my heart to beat in contentment serene;

I want this all as I live by the day
I want my incomplete tasks to leave my way;

I want to have the nightfall for calm and peace
for my love and dreams to overpower my zeal.
