Each being is a monstrance.
If we look at each person with the eyes of God,
we will know neither peril nor fear.
And when we search within every being on earth
the mysterious transparency of God,
we have absolutely nothing to fear.
For this reason, we can say
that every encounter is a prayer.
Any encounter with a human being is a form of prayer.
Nothing is simpler or more profound than this contemplation.
We are surrounded by humans.
Let each of your encounters be a prayer.
If you quickly pass others by,
hearing them without listening,
nothing happens between beings.
Really listening to the other
is listening to God deeply.
This look of the Christian on the other
is unlimited prayer.
When we come to think of it, we pray as we live.
If we make room for God, then our prayer will be heard,
we will then thirst for prayer,
and we will be in the daily lives of people listening.
God will show through us naturally
because we will be in an uninterrupted dialogue with Him
We will be with Him through others
and in every space of time and space of silence
that we'll give Him.

Écouter Dieu à travers les autres
 
Chaque être est un ostensoir. Si nous regardons chaque personne avec le regard de Dieu, nous ne connaîtrons ni péril ni peur. En cherchant en chaque être sur cette terre la transparence mystérieuse de Dieu, nous n'avons absolument rien à redouter. Pour cette raison, nous pouvons dire que toute rencontre est une prière. Toute rencontre avec un être humain est une forme de prière. Tout regard doit faire jaillir la prière en nous. Rien n'est plus simple ni plus profond que cette contemplation. Nous sommes entourés d'humains. Que chacune de vos rencontres soit une prière.
Si l'on zappe vite les autres, si on les entend sans les écouter, rien ne se produit entre les êtres. Écouter vraiment l'autre, c'est écouter Dieu profondément. Ce regard du chrétien vis-à-vis de l'autre est une prière illimitée.
Au fond, nous prions comme nous vivons. Si nous prenons de l'espace pour Dieu, alors notre prière sera écoutée, nous aurons soif de prière, et nous serons dans la vie quotidienne des gens écoutant.
Nous transparaîtrons Dieu naturellement parce que nous serons dans un dialogue ininterrompu avec Lui. Nous serons avec Lui à travers les autres et dans tous les espaces temps et espaces silence que nous Lui donnerons.
