Lily And Her Moon- 02: The Awakening Poem by Suratha Kumar Rout

Lily And Her Moon- 02: The Awakening

Rating: 5.0

As the moon rises

The lily with pale,

Shrunk petals

Come back to life.

As cool moonshine

Touches her bare skin

The lips of her petals

Open with a sweet smile

As if the cloud conveyed

The news of rain

To a dancing peacock.

The lily stares

At her lover

Wet with the rain

Of his loving touch

Through his moonshine.

As if she tastes

The elixir of eternal love

From her lover moon.
