Life's Cycle V 1 Departure Poem by Adrian Flett

Life's Cycle V 1 Departure

No longer will there be the need
or physical limitation of the organ
that beat of the heart that day by day
so well since first it beat, set life on it way.

Nothing to list nought to prepare
there at the Gate nothing to declare
In the amen corner whence we know not where
we go maybe all is to be accounted there.

Not able to carry things for which we care.
But will there be some compensation there
for brain and thoughts we left behind?
As all that is left to go is the soul, the mind.
