Life is a card game,
with aces and jokers.
the game is called life,
its sorta like poker.
the hand you've been dealt,
is what you've got.
you can't choose what you get,
you can't screw with the plot.
to get what you want,
you can break the rules,
but sometimes you have to play,
with what life's given you.
an ace is what you have,
no matter what.
appreciate all the little things,
no ifs, ands, or buts.
a joker is the past,
always taunting you.
sometime you want it back,
but its never true.
the queens and kings,
are the people you love,
ruling your choices,
it can be rough.
jacks are the children,
running around you in the day.
loving and innocent,
they run and they play.
everything in between,
is the forgotten strangers,
sometimes okay,
sometimes a danger.
the outcome of the game,
all depends,
on who you put together,
and your decisions in the end.
so play your card carefully,
because you can't win the game,
if you only have a joker,
because you threw away an ace.
you never know,
if what you pick up,
will be better than what you threw away,
so take a closer look.
life is a card game,
you deal with what your dealt,
play your cards carefully,
and life your life fully.
go with the flow,
play as you go,
study your hand,
and have a life so grand.
