Life Poem by Maor Lain

Life

In an instance
There is life…
A single organism
As in theories told
A legend of some
The untold story of many,
Here it is….
Here I am
As I've been addressed by the many
Labels that haunt me
... Stereotypes that follow
And make a hollow
Into the void
That words create,
In comparison
Small places.
Never be said
That I am just a strand
Of DNA,
I have a name
That my mother
Procured, with sole care
To bless life,
My life into hers.
I am a person
And here,
Here I am.
Here are my words
If you wish
You can understand
Or leave me
In my times of shadows
Within the cornering grey.
