Let's Talk Poem by Payal Priya

Let's Talk

We sat on the sofa
Waiting;
Glancing at each-other's faces,
tubelights and walls.
The lady reading the newspaper,
The receptionist taking calls,
So many people, so much movement
So much noise,
And still pin drop silence,
Sitting tongue tied
Between us thick layers of cold ice
Let's thwart it with warmth
Waiting for someone to say,
'Let's talk'.

Sitting tongue tied Between us thick layers of cold ice Let's thwart it with warmth Waiting for someone to say, 'Let's talk'. such situations we experience very often between people who are married and life has become a routine.......... but love conquers such monotony......... thank yu dear poetess.
