Knife Poem by RATIKANTA SAMAL

Knife

How much sharp you do yourself
Won't make me wounded I know;
Realising your soft inner heart
Trust on you, no pretension I show.

Intertwined in love; not for today
Prolonged bonding in a strong thread;
Sharp words may be oceanic cyclone
Still it is weaker at the mountain's head.

Sharpness of a knife, everyone knows
Nevertheless I don't fear to keep inside;
For I have trust on it that won't harm
Small but strong dike saves from the tide.

Have learnt and understood from you
Many times I feel the roaring forties;
And I know peace loving mighty ocean
In the time circle, I am afraid of the ridge.
