In The House Of The Living God Poem by Benjamin Chiu Uy

In The House Of The Living God

Rating: 5.0

In The House Of A Living God.

Like a gift from a living god,
A hand reaches out coins from the soul,
A part of us reaching to the other life, the other soul.

Alms for the poor, shelter for the homeless,
Love for your brothers and sister,
The inherent nature of helping the other man,

As one part of us, grieves at the universe,
With great regrets somehow at its greatness and over indulgence

Both at Mothers Earth, her largees, the giving of her awesome gifts for just a few rewards,
And her allowance for so many disparate injuries and insults to injury,

Like disobedience, like the homicides, the burning and the pillage,

Death and destructions, the murders and the rapes.

Like a spoiled child becoming from an over indulgent mother,
To give so much attention and recieves ungratefulness, disrespect and transgression in return.

The same justice as the code of penal law,
We followed the golden rule, an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth, an arms for an arm

But somehow something isnot always right,
Sometimes like an aberration, a lapse of a guard.
We allow ourselves to be cowered by injustice, blind to the false governance, fear and feigned ignorance for an outright injustice.

Like an evil dictator,
Like the rising of an Anti Christ,

We allow complacencies to evil deeds, to prevail,
Justs as mother earth turned a blind eye at the mischief of a spoiled son,

Allowing so much sorrow in the house of a loving parent, in the house of the living God.

In the house of God we all are protected. Death and destruction and violence provoke thought and bring sadness. We need love, care and peace. An amazing poem is brilliantly penned...0
