In Praise Of God Poem by Ravi Kopra

In Praise Of God

Rating: 5.0

God kills us in wars
God gives us syphilis, cholera
God gives us rapists, burglars, murderers
God gives us hunger, disease, death
God takes away all reality, all sanity

And makes us wretched monsters
after greed, money, women... (remain tuned if you want to hear more)
And still, the demented, deluded man worships his God.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Inspired by God's Protectees - A Poem by Rajnish Manga at poemhunter

God is one- They say in unison
God dwells in every heart
God is omnipresent
God is omnipotent
God takes care of His children
All religions broadly agree
Then why are they fighting for?
Then Who is fighting whom?
Why this bloodshed and gloom?
Why I am sighting doom?
One who is under the protection of God
Cannot parish- they believe
Pray tell me- Those who perished
Were they not His protectees?

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

The poem provides the other side of the picture to make it a multi-dimensional image of the creator of this universe. In this scenario which 'makes us wretched monsters'. Thanks for a thought provoking piece of work.

Is the ancient concept of God not a delusional one? Is the idea of existence of God not a delusion of mankind? Kya khuda ki asliyat ka khayal apna dil behlana nahin hai?
