In Moments of Agony and Trouble

In moments of sheer despondence
When we don’t find a ray of light
We turn to God for solace.
In moments of agony and trouble
When our world is wrapped with shroud of cloud
Tears fall from eyes in the form of rain
We turn to God to get out of pain.
In moments of happiness and joy
Satan, the fallen angel, invites us
To embark on his crowded ship.
Satan bewitches us with his magic wand
Abjuring God and Holy Scriptures
Satan removes us far away
From the path of success and truth.
Being fascinated us with momentary joy
Satan allures us providing fleeting happiness
And spoil lives retarding spiritual growth
With a hardened heart, we turn to God
Shedding drops of penitential tears
God showers his blessings and mercy upon us
As a reward of our bitter remorse
It is hopeless to lead a life
Without his mercy and blessings.
When blessings descend from heaven above
We taste the joy of life
Sufferings and pain are buried
In the deep delved earth, and
Life wears the dress of joy and mirth.

In such season and occasion
We write beautiful poems in celebration.
Taking a cup of coffee and puffing cigarettes
We pine for love from our beloved,
We read the story of romantic knights
And our thoughts soar like strings of kite.
In such moments of life full with zest
We turn to God to obey his behest.
