If Wishes Were Horses Poem by JOHN THE GIFTED HANDS

If Wishes Were Horses

Rating: 5.0

If
Wishes were horses
I would stay up late in bed
And have the world done it for me

If
Wishes were horses
When tomorrow comes I would take no pleasure in hardwork and dignity
And expect the finest things of life

They might say
Your dedication never dropped guard!
That's right to say but you and I know that wishes are not horses
It's hardwork in its purest state

So I would take my time to believe in what I can do to find a place
Where there is happiness day after day
Where there is joy immeasurable
And freedom untampered

And while the harvest yeilds a basket full of laughter
I can now turn around and say
Wishes can be horses if you do what is right
And this is how to succeed!
