I Would Sue You Poem by Kinyua Karanja

I Would Sue You

If only somebody cared about me
And give a f**k about my case
If I were a bulldozer with guts
Then I would for sure sue you
I would hire the best lawyer
The most experienced solicitor
In all matters related to love
I would press charges against you
The most serious crimes on earth
I would direct my Personal lawyer
To file cases against you

Prosecutor of the high court
Would summon you to court
I would like to see your defense
You would be horrified to death
And wonder, how on earth?
Seeing me as complainant, then fainting
I would have no business with it

First… you are here by accused
Of first degree arson, setting fire
On personal property intentionally
You would try to defend yourself
But, my lawyer would hammer on
Texting using terms like Sweetheart
You lit a fire on my client’s heart
Spreading it to his body like a bush fire
And then fled and disappeared

Secondly… a felony charge, Burglary
First degree, you broke into his heart
With unknown or rather a bad intention
You sweet talked and entered his heart
You committed theft, larceny
By stealing his heart and love
And now you want to disappear
You want to flee after the damage

I know you would defend yourself
O my God it was just a joke
It’s how we talk in campus
You would try to justify it
I’m not a camper nor from campus
I would hint and kill your argument
Obviously you would be found guilty
And this is how I would sue your a**

I would plead with the judges
To jail you in my life forever
To shackle our hearts together
In case my request is rejected
I would move to Supreme Court
Filing case of appeal
I would ensure you have a ring
And vows are made
Together we would walk home
And forget the damage.
