I Love Him Poem by Nadia Marie

I Love Him

My friends think im stupid,
Because I’ve been hit by cupid
I can’t help it if I’m smitten
By all I’ve so far seen

Oh, how I love and adore him
My pounding heart from within
Jumps at his very presence
Making me want to dance

My lovers’ eyes are like diamonds
Those from Sierra Leone or desert islands
They cause my man to be so mysterious
But at least he’s not vicious

Maybe that’s why I’m so mesmerized
But then again, I’ve finally realised
That I should be more than pleased
I found a true love, so why be so amazed

I don’t care if I may sound desperate
Love is all I’m trying to promote
Peace and love brings harmony
Although away from reality

However, he does treat me like his queen
The smile he gives me, never before seen
So, how can I ever consider to think
Of listening to them, watch the clock, will be quick

No, I’ll enjoy the relationship, which I hold
And those remarks I’ll forever avoid.
