I Have Nothing Polite To Say Right Now Poem by michael spangenberg

I Have Nothing Polite To Say Right Now

I've got seven grandchildren
And I do not want them growing up
In the darkness of the US valley of death
Under Trump, the evangelist of bigotry
I do not want to see this country recede
Go back to where 'We' scapegoat 'Them'
I'm going to do everything I can to prevent
That from happening, Sanders said.

On black Tuesday night, with the legitimacy
Of democracy, but without the popular vote
The majority of reactionary male coal miners
Ultra-conservative white brick-and-mortar folks
Casted their vote, representing the ultra-dark underside
Of the KKK-American Dream, Trump not only beat Clinton
But threw into grave uncertainty an 8-year legacy of
Liberal achievements, criminal justice reforms
Equal chances, LGBT, climate change: get Real
- Utopian food leftovers, leftish doggie bag or
socialist food for the Mein Trumpf garbage bin.

19th century solutions to ameliorate 21st century issues
Designed by uneducated 20th century right-wing desolates
The art and superstition of deals radiating home ingenuity
Lady Justice incarcerated for the upcoming 8-long years
Interesting times ahead, witnessing a Demagogue-in-action.

I told you so - Sanders not exactly gloating
Over Donald Trump's victory, but vindicated
If not ordinary Freudian schadenfreude
After projecting the inevitable for many months.

No easy target, no mortgages of scandals
Sanders was expected to do way better
Against the now president-elect than Clinton did
Even a hamburger sandwich could beat Donald Trump
Ill-reputed Hillary, First lady tainted by the devil
How's she supposed to beat a ruthless con artist
An un-convicted felon, born with the silver spoon.

But the liberal establishment didn't listen
It wasn't vigilant, got H-cocky, over-confident
The electorate distrusted them even more
A new generation yearning for radical change
Was completely ignored by the commie party elite
Not elevated in any meaningful way.

This poem is my protest song
Against the Art of the Immoral Deal
Against Hate-D.Trumping-Love
Will the gravity of simply decency
Ever reasserts itself before 2020?

When asked about the news of Trump's win
Sanders told CNN on Wednesday morning:
'I have nothing polite to say right now'
The 11/8 FBI-rigged coup d'etat might be over
But like Coca Cola, the fight against in-justice
Isn't anytime soon expected to become
full-time un-fashionable.
