I did not know that you did not care,
I did not know as you threw me down the stairs,
I did not know you hated me so,
I did not know while lying there on the floor,
I did not know I was there to be used,
I did not know with my body battered and bruised,
I did not know you could not be fixed,
I did not know as you were hitting me with sticks,
I did not know when you asked me to be your wife,
I did not know you would try to take my life,
I did not know as you dragged me to the bay,
I did not know when you stabbed me that was where I would lay,
I did not know with rocks you would careen,
I did not know I would be begging on my knees,
I did not know there was no love on your part,
I did not know as you shot me through the heart,
I did not know this was how you were bred,
I did not know that I would soon be dead.
