I Belong To Everywhere. Poem by Tex T Sarnie

I Belong To Everywhere.

Rating: 5.0

For years I thought that the clouds engulfed you
but I still often looked to see where you were.
To be honest, I began to doubt your existence,
but then one day I sensed that you were there.

I was in an overcrowded room of strangers
where no one had a distinguishable face.
I sensed that everyone was in transit and waiting
for someone to take them on to another place.

Through the chatter of the unknown faces,
I felt that someone was searching for me.
But I was just one in a mass of strangers,
so, how could my searcher find me.

I began to question my sense of intuition
until my confusion made way for the light.
It was then that I saw you looking at me,
you shone brighter than a star at night.

Amidst the noisy crowd, you created silence,
we became alone in this time and space.
We shared the uniqueness of those few seconds,
and I knew they could never be replaced.

I'd never experienced such a happening,
my breath faltered when I felt your touch.
You lifted me far above the vast unknown;
no one would dare to ask, so much.

I had no idea where you would take me
and to be honest I didn't really care.
My all is complete for the very first time.
I now belong to everywhere.
