I Am Only Human Poem by Monalisa Mariah Liabunya

I Am Only Human

I'm only human
that's what I tell myself when glitters are shining on my sleeve.

It's so beautiful and calm
when I'm at peace with the world and myself.

But these days don't last.

Some days I wake up with dust in my eyes and darkness in my soul.

On these days
I forget that I'm human and I tear down the world and my peace in chaos.

*I'm Only human is what I say every single day to not fall apart. Being human means I need to understand that the universe or my soul is not mine for all these belong to the one who created me.*

As for today
I am more than human.
I am a dreamer, I am a daughter, I am a sister, I am beautiful, I am a friend, I am not what happens or what
happened, I am what I choose to be despite the doubts and the migraines on some hot days.
