I Am Me Poem by Jayne Louise Davies

I Am Me

Rating: 5.0

I am me and just me,
I see the good in others,
Even when they do me wrong,
I cry to the words of a beautiful song.
I am patient and loving,
If you'll just let me be,
That's how I am,
And there's no changing me.
I love nature,
It's so soothing and calm,
I love laughter,
I'll never do you any harm,
I'm sensitive when you say hurtful words,
But I'll turn a blind eye,
Pretend I never heard.
If you need me I'll be there,
Just call me and I'll pull up a chair,
I'll listen to you for as long as it takes,
But don't discard me like dead leaves from a rake.
I am me and just me,
I'm here when you need a shoulder to cry on,
And that's how it'll always be.

Well said, that's how people should be. Patience is a virtue indeed.

I am me that's me...i don't give anyone a chance to define me. I want to love others and be loved. A great poem
