I Am Crying For Solace. Poem by Gerald Opio

I Am Crying For Solace.

Rating: 5.0

Couldn't help overhearing
Words that hurt me profoundly
Both my soul and heart afflicted
Imparting an excruciating pain

Words are sharper
Than an arrow honed through a furnace.
You couldn't refine your language
Towards a humble soul as mine

As meek as I was
While you threw tantrums at me
Innately crying and my heart bleeding
Inconsiderate of how I felt you were

From way back to date
I am still crying for solace
Your words affixed an indelible mark on my heart and soul
The pain recurries in my life

Perhaps I will advance with the pain
Through out my life
Til eternity
Commiserating me six feet under
