I Am Poem by Genese Lozada

I Am

I am a champion who does not know defeat
I am not a queen who takes the highest seat
I am not a tower that almost touches the sky
I am not a bird that could fly so high

I am, yes I am as one might say
An ordinary lady who does not save the day
I am, yes I am
Like a star in the morning that no one ever notices to be glowing

But in spite of all this, I know who I really am
And I do not live for glitter and glam
I am more, more than money and fame
For I was born to serve and to spread God's name

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

I was born to serve and to spread God's name. And what is God's name. It is truthfulness it is honesty, it is simplicity and it is fair.
