Hylas And The Nymph's Kiss Poem by Yasmin Hemmat

Hylas And The Nymph's Kiss

Rating: 5.0

Hylas, a wanderer upon the shore,
Bent down to touch the cool and crystal stream.
A nymph was drawn to him, her heart's implore,
A beauty rare, a figure from her dream.
With tender grace, she held his marble skin,
And kissed the crimson of his waiting lips.
In that soft touch, they found themselves within,
A moment lost where love and water slips.
The Argo's crew would call his name in vain,
The woods would echo with their searching cries.
But Hylas, held by love's enchanting chain,
Would never answer, gone from mortal ties.
The nymph kept Hylas in her silent home,
A world beneath the waters' shifting blue.
Their hearts entwined, their fates forever sown,
In love's embrace, where time and dreams renew.
Together now, they vanished without trace,
Embraced beneath the surface, hand in hand.
The world above a distant, fleeting place,
They drifted deep within a dreamer's land.
