Here And There Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Here And There

Here and there

Movie is One-O-Seven
On Reserve…

Is work of Mennonite
Youngster…

In me, it penetrates,
Is vaccine, poison…

I think of host, hostess
Named Abrams, on border
Brazil, Paraguay…

And they were Mennonites
Were aloof and too kind…

Have pictures of themselves
And school and the church
And many children…

Movie is unlike them
Different, in nature.

Since the Natives vary
As do the governments
In methods and the ways.

"They did fight, "
Say the non-Mennonites!

We talk of Chaco war
Which was shame, all in all.

Rockefeller, owner of Standard
Fought the Shell, the Royal.

But murdered were armies
Of the soldiers in need,
The leaders were puppets
Of rulers in Europeans,
Poor Natives were losers!
