Held On Poem by Sylvia Carter

Held On

She/He wanted too believe the tall tales that you presented them with, because they knew they are worthy of LOVE, apparently YOU didn't think so. Held on because, they thought, they would be enough and what was felt was real in they're minds.
Held on because your voice and touch thrilled them, I mean it's wasn't much that they wouldn't do for you if you, and you knew all of this. Held on because we thought it was real.
