Head Over Heels Poem by Ashlee T

Head Over Heels

Rating: 5.0

We met when I was young.

The moment I laid eyes on you, I felt drawn to you

You were like a magnet and I couldn't stay away.

You were intoxicating. I couldn't get enough of you

Sooner than later, I became addicted.

I found myself head over heels in love with you

Then you take the intoxication away by leaving.

I still long for you. I'm still addicted to you.

I'm still head over heels in love with you

I will even make it a 'favorite' though 'love poems' are 'my thing'. This one is. Welcome to PH. ;)

Welcome to Poem Hunter. This has happened to almost everyone, I think. A very good first poem. Keep it up.

Taylor (male or female or?) , I 'feel for' you IF this poem is a true story about YOU. Either way(s) , female or male, fact or fiction, I give this 5 *****. : ) bri

(cont.) In what I wrote (or just thought about writing) to 'Barbara' I compared her to a magnet pulling me (iron filings) to her, to cling to her. We had a few dates, but there were no 'sparks'. Oh, well, it was ok. bri : )

I've had a similar experience & even sent a note (I think) to a woman I had a 'crush' on in 2nd grade, but the note came about 15 years later. (cont.)
