Habitat Loss Deforestation Disease Permanent Poem by Terence George Craddock

Habitat Loss Deforestation Disease Permanent

flash back to an age of coal steam
an age of native American genocide
an age of inheritance dispossession

the so called coming of civilization
to America the great epic colonization
would see a deforestation vast destruction

in ancient forests of primeval America
entire new species hunted to extinction
habitat loss destroyed extinct vast vast

numbers of species reduced driven
off to other untouched states in time

history land tide taken migration
forests to face ill-fated cut down

axed burned desolate destruction
the trees were sudden ghost gone
