Grief As In Grief
Just hearing of a poet passing,
makes me pen a few words.
Chenjerai Hove passed on.
To read his words was life,
To follow the paths strength
Now he is no more yet his work,
inspires even the bones that remain.
We will stand better poets,
for reading his work,
and hearing his voice.
Go and sing for us.
We hear you.

I did not see the news on the death of Chenjerai Hove. I heard it from one student who is doing his MA on his poetry. Go well Chenjerai Hove. One of Zimbabwe's great poets.
