Grateful Poem by Al J. Cuesta

Grateful

These things I get I don't deserve
The things I have, I'll try to preserve
So thanks you for all that I receive
Be it happiness, or be it grief
For what you throw at me, life,
I take right in the face
I keep it, use it, and put it in its place
Helps me grow,
No more room in the wall for measurements
So I'll keep my head up tall, and try to faithfully represent
How I am so grateful for it all
