Grandma (A Poem For Her) Poem by Shaikyu Yun

Grandma (A Poem For Her)

I had little to remember as a child
For you looked the same from then
If only my memory wasn’t that mild
I would surely tried hard as I can
To remember your gentle smile
And the time you sang lullabies
But now they seems like a lie
You left without saying goodbye
In my heart you left me tracks
As if you’re going to come back
I cried silently on my bed
Hoping someone will pat my head
Hoping that it would be you
But when I woke up
I realised that you’re gone forever
Leaving us all in tears
Of sadness and grief
As we’re not going to meet again
And of joy and reliefs
To see you no longer in pain
