Friends Forever Poem by Helen Williamson

Friends Forever

The day we met
Yet only a few
We had something great
Something fresh and new
As more added on
New friendships became
And so did hardships
But don't hang your heads in shame
We lost some of our hope
And with it went a few
Still nothing could change
The fact that we made it through
At home some were unappreciated
But united we held on
To a hope that bound us together
And a fire that moved us on
So to those who are here today
And to those who are not
I just wanted to tell you
That sometimes we are all we've got
And the memoris we've built here together
Are exactly whats going to keep us
Friends Forever
