For The Love Of Our Land Poem by Stephanie Apila

For The Love Of Our Land

We don't need war
Not any more
Enough is enough
No more blood shed
Not even torture,
Abductions and child labor
We got enough of all.
Evoke
The wailing voices,
Cries of the vanishing
Souls
Long gone are they,
Set as a piece of sacrifice
To save the majority
For the good of the land.

To freely gait around our land,
To have the ecstasy like humans
Is what we want
Celebrations in full engagement.
Sound sweet and pure,
Not polluted by gunshots
Pure water, free from gore
For the peace of our land
We don't want war.
