For Many Years Now I Have Been A Rhyme Buff

Rating: 5.0

For many years now I have been a rhyme buff
And though I have written a whole heap of stuff
The rhymes I have penned though not very good
Are not very hard for to be understood,
I pen simple to understand stuff that and nothing more
And I do not begrudge the poets their every encore
And though not every writer as such makes the grade
All sorts should be welcome in the wordsmith trade
Of the Human World's millions of poets the elite only few
You might say to that tell us something that's new
There is quite a difference between good and great
And only the finest the masses celebrate
And though my best days in life to the forever gone
For as long as I can I will keep penning on.
