Flame Of Religion Poem by Sankhajit Bhattacharjee

Flame Of Religion

Rating: 4.5

Plucking flowers, enchanting hymns and rushing to temples
are not the signs of a religionist
unless that guy is wise in one's thoughts, words and actions.
There's no need for a wise
to pluck, to enchant, to rush.
One's wisdom is enough
to demonstrate one's true devotion.
One among the seven rishis pioneered this theme
which inflamed, is inflaming, will inflame
the billion hearts of this land and overseas.
My heart too got inflamed,
nothing can put it off,
the energy of which will be utilized solely
in conservation, construction and creation.

'My heart too got inflamed, nothing can put it off, the energy of which will be utilized solely in conservation, construction and creation.' - That's so wonderful! The flame of an enlightened heart cannot be extinguished.
