Finding A Place In This World Poem by Rebeckah Schroeder

I dont know where I belong,
I dont know what to do,
I am just trying to figure out life
one thing at a time.

I dont know who I am,
I dont know who I want to be,
All I know is that I want
somebody to notice me.

I cry alone at night,
I wake up in the morning with a wet pillow and sorrowful thoughts,
I try make it not so obvious,
but sometimes its really hard.

Im just a young girl trying to live her life,
with so many options open,
but yet with so many doors closed.

Im trying to find my place in this world,
Im trying to fit in,
but everytime I think Ive found my place,
it turns out thats not where I belong.

So I guess I will run,
and keep on running,
so I can find my place.

I know it's out there somewhere,
but my question is where.
