Far Away The Dust Settles Poem by Paul Brookes

Far Away The Dust Settles

Faith the say moves mountains yet words tumble and tremble
edged sharp and tempered holy books of man made truths
man invented God so as not to be alone in the universe
but what if God is the universe?

in and of everything but our too puny minds cannot grasp
the enormity that bleak blackness or the fire ball stars and suns
the blanket of spreading infinity makes fools of us all
making our heads ache not the simplicity of one and one equal two..
the very vastness that wraps us all on this rock
encapsulated by our atmosphere as we drift.

in the ends we become but motes of dust
the very stuff of God, maybe then we will know the unanswerable question.

who knows?
